Opposing but Complementary forces are Catalysts to Growth!

Opposing but Complementary forces are Catalysts to Growth!

Dear friend, there is an essential give and take, push and pull, up and down, to life that is both simple and yet a core mystery of existence. Through this opposition, we develop character, form virtues, and gain integrity. In fact, the symmetrical nature of opposing forces helps us remember our wholeness.

This inherent opposition of life is designed to bring about growth, change, transformation, and evolution in life; ultimately, to shift our focus from the familiar to the mysterious, from the physical to the spiritual, and from time to eternity.

Here we have a fundamental principle of life that, in presenting us with endless pairs of opposites, creates contradictions, conflicts, and problems, or disorders, to be resolved not to confuse us. Each pair of opposites, as complementarities, adds up to a whole. Problems only arise when the whole is broken down into parts. In some traditions, the central problem of the human condition is precisely how to bring the two contraries into equilibrium yet maintaining them as complementary forces to each other. Knowing how to balance the creative and negative energies is a guiding principle of our human development in life.

My friend, if we look back, we may identify a time, or an experience, when we were fully aware of a conflict of opposites going on in our life, a push and a pull between two forces that seemed to have equal power over us.

What were the forces we were conscious of, what kind of shift in focus or contradiction did this create for us? Did these opposing forces help us to understand any better our core values or virtues that we possess? How did we recreate a balance between these opposing forces for ourselves?

Duality is a blessing, a place for those who experience life and always evolving beyond the opposites. Transcending duality is to see this mysterious existence, to feel it in the deepest core of our heart for what it really is. When we do immediately prayers arise in the heart that has no words to them, they do not belong to any culture, prayers that are silent, they don’t say much but they are tremendously fragrant. This state of balance creates music in our being, and it is created out of the opposites, it is the harmony of the stars and the melody of the whole.

2019 A Year of Alignment!

2019 A Year of Alignment!

My friend, hours separates us from the new year, a great opportunity to reflect on our journey in 2018. The numerology energy represented by the number 2019 resonates with creative self-expression, relationships, optimism, and inspiration. This is a very promising year for all of us.

Toward the end of each December, we get to embrace our authenticity by reviewing the last 12 months and what needs to be released completely which no longer useful. I usually like to examine each part of the preceding year to acknowledge my accomplishments, to see where I parted from my mission, evaluate what worked and what didn’t, and think about what needs to be changed. I ask myself: What new opportunities came to light? What did I learn? What challenged me and helped me emerge stronger? What are the revelations that I’ve been blessed with? So, I write down my list of the year’s top 10 highlights, also I write down what is no longer working for my highest wellbeing separately on a small paper to burn it in a light ceremony on the New Year Eve!

I am very excited about this upcoming year, for the new revelations and expansion awaiting our arrival. It is a social energy year and I love that.

 Traits of 2019:

If you choose to be the expression of 2019 energy; you would tend to be optimistic. You would have a rich ability for creative self-expression. You will be innately aware of the infinite potential. You become tolerant and compassionate and operate well as a team member. Keep in mind, the energy represented by 2019 is social, diplomatic, and inclusive, yet can operate independently. 2019 energy is also a humanitarian and self-reliant. Comprehensive awareness is another trait of 2019 energy. It is the awareness of being whole and self-sufficient.

My friend, when the number 2019 reduces to the single-digit number 3, the essence of the number 2019 is a composite containing the ideas of:

  • Abundance
  • Creative self-expression
  • Relationships
  • Wholeness
  • Alignment
  • Self-determination
  • Humanitarianism
  • Optimism
  • Companionship creative expression
  • inspiration, and tolerance
  • And self-realization

Let’s hold the divine space for all of us to align with those amazing traits and to enhance our well-being this coming year.

Self-realization is the sustained movement of dissolving the ego. The ego is a lens that skews reality, and Self-realization dissolves that lens to allows us to view life from awakened awareness–no filters, no distortions. Awakening does so independently of the person, and it does so intelligently.

Important rituals:

Brain research confirms that rituals have great power and influence over our minds. If we perform a ritual of release (letting go of a symbol that holds negative energy or writing down limiting beliefs and then ripping up the paper or burn it), a part of our brain reads it as if it were true. When we participate in a ritual, in essence, we are telling our brain we’ve already completed whatever we’ve indorsed symbolically, and the victory has already been won!

Out with the old:

As the year comes to an end, I find myself wanting to clear out the old things that clutter up my life in the last year. In Italy, the Italians threw things made from glass out the windows when it hit 12 o’clock on New Year’s Eve. Now I don’t suggest you go that far, but I was taught in my childhood that if you get something new, you give something away. I try to make that a continual ritual.

Welcoming good luck and prosperity:

For good luck in the coming year, and it is the year of the pig in the Chinese calendar which means abundance. In some cultures, they throw money into the house the first time they enter after the new year has begun. If you’ll be staying home on New Year’s Eve, go outside your front door a minute after midnight and throw coins through the entryway. Bless them with all the qualities you want to bring in, joy, clarity, success, and good health. You can leave them there and after 48 hours you give them away.

Or when you return home for the first time in the new year (perhaps after a late-night celebration), have a bowl of coins sitting outside your front door. Bless them for everything you want in the new year, a handful for abundance, a handful for health etc. and then throw them inside your home and bless them again. Leave them there for 48 hours and then give them all away, a symbolic gesture of your trust that you’ll receive what you need, and that you have enough to give some away. Remember when you’re in a state of gratitude and joy, things manifest faster.

Focus on the first 12 days:

One of the most powerful teachings I ever learned was that the first 12 days of the year represent the whole year. (January 1 stands for the month of January, January 2 for February, and so on.) By practicing a certain breathing technique, lovingkindness, openness, and alignment while giving thoughtful attention to the significance of each of these 12 days, we will set the tone for the whole year. It’s a type of positive reprogramming, we will consecrate the entire coming year.

In the end, one of the biggest challenges in life is realizing that each individual is just a piece of the Supreme. It takes a lot of work to change our world and to bring it back to its miraculous nature and knowing that will be all the difference. It’s also crucial to recognize that our sense of being will be heightened if we realize that our happiness is dependent upon our own sense of living. If we carry out misery within our life, then only misery will follow. However, if we commit to making a difference and living with a passionate attitude to evolve with life, we’ll find that life will deliver the most incredible blessings we’ve never dreamed of.

Dear friend, thank you for being part of my life journey. I want to wish you a miraculous New Year. Believe that the world is a much brighter place because you exist, you have made a huge difference just by being here. Time will pass, what will remain in the vastness of existence, is our personal recorded experience, let’s make it worthwhile!

May you have a prosperous and life-changing year!

Love&Gratitude,

Ziad

Transforming reality through Meditation!

Transforming reality through Meditation!

Meditation: commonly known as sitting silently, becoming aware of the present moment or of our breath, brings about a greater sense of calmness, clarity, serenity, and contentment, a break from the unstoppable mind chatter going around in our heads. This, of course, is absolutely true. And then, there are all the benefits to our health, like reduced blood pressure, stress release, increased oxygen levels and a long list of amazing things.

But for most people what happens when they leave their seat is when the commentary in their heads starts running again.  They are back in their thoughts, anxieties, and judgments. Quickly people lose their serenity and sense of ‘one-ness’ and easily return to business as usual.

If something like this happens to you, here is where you could be missing the greatest benefit that meditation actually has to offer.

Let’s use the analogy of going to the gym or doing yoga, martial arts, or whatever the physical pursuit we love the most. We do our workout, our practice or exercise. During and just afterward, we often feel a nice warm rush in our bodies. Our bloodstream is flooded with dopamine and we are glowing and maybe even a bit high. Great feeling, but we know that it is not this immediate ‘hit’ that motivates us to keep going.

What really gets us to commit to our practice is an understanding that over time, we are building and training our muscles to feel stronger, our heart and lungs to be more effective, increasing our physical ability and developing our body to work at its optimum. Making it as capable as possible of handling what modern life throws at it. We know we will be more able to deal with unexpected physical stress and strains; we will have fewer aches and pains.  We feel less fatigue, more awake, sharper and fitter; we simpler become healthier and have a better quality of life.

Now applying this understanding to meditation is what will give us the secret superpower that is almost always overlooked.

When we meditate on a daily or regular basis, we are in fact strengthening our ‘presence muscle’. We are building our capacity to become present and aware when we really need it most – not on the meditation seat, but when our vulnerable places are triggered in our ‘normal’ day to day life.

When all is smooth and wonderful in life, we are mostly content, happy and connected. But when things start happening, when we are triggered, by our parents, our partners, our children, friends or work colleagues, it is in these moments of ‘reaction’ that we ‘lose consciousness’ and go back to the program to resolve unexpected situations.

This moment is where we snap. It’s where we defend, rationalize, attack, manipulate and either act ‘out’ in aggression or act ‘in’ through passive anger, punishment or just total shut down. This is when we actually feel the sting of abandonment, resentment, envy, and fear in real-time and space. This is where we damage ourselves and others.

Meditation’s greatest gift is that it can train us to expand that moment. It allows us to stretch that nano-second of time, just as we are triggered, offering to us an extra split second of reliable presence of awareness. A capacity built over time, as we cultivate our ability to witness our thoughts and emotions from a higher perspective.

This little gap, this fleeting blink of an eye, is where the practice of meditation manifests its most profound benefit.

In that extra pause lies the greatest power available to us, the capacity to choose how we will deal with the rush of pain, fear or anger welling up inside. It gives us the capacity to slow down time, take a breath and allow the emotional charge to subside so that we can make a conscious decision about how we want to respond to or handle the situation. This shift enables us to move from automatic conflict towards resolution, from judgment to compassion, from anger to forgiveness, and from fear to love.

My friend, this fundamental ability, this skill, is by no means easy, we all know that, nor is it always welcomed by those around us. When we develop this capacity, we become uniquely empowered, as we step out of the ‘programmed character’ and no longer follow the scripts that have been playing out in the theatre of our lives. Others who are used to being able to trigger and control us, are suddenly left having to deal with their own thoughts and feelings because we are no longer playing along and feeding the fire. We have learned to take each moment, each criticism, each comment that once had us lashing out in desperation and rage, and see it for what it really is, as someone else’s inner world, their reality, not ours. We no longer take it personally.

This does not mean that we are no longer capable of hearing a valid criticism or are unable to receive feedback about where we can change, learn and grow. We can, in fact, remain more receptive, more discerning and better placed to make a healthy judgment as to whether we take on or dismiss what comes our way from others.

With less fire and smoke comes clearer vision and understanding. In the coolness of presence, we respond from our deepest true nature. This is real inner power. This is ‘spiritual fitness’. This is the secret of gaining superpowers through meditation.

It is always a profound joy for me to share with you this truth, and thank you for being present, an inspiration to me and to everyone around you.

Much Love,

Ziad

You are a miracle of 1 in 400 trillion!

You are a miracle of 1 in 400 trillion!

Dear friends,

scientists estimate the probability of each one of us being born and the odds of being here are four hundred trillion to one.  Previously, I had heard the Buddhist version of the probability of this precious incarnation. “Imagine there was one life preserver thrown somewhere in some ocean, with exactly one turtle in all these oceans, swimming underwater somewhere. The probability that we came about is the same as that turtle sticking its head out of the water into the middle of that life preserver. On one try.”

Even more, they say with the lowest statistic of 1 in 400 trillion, we would have a better chance of winning over $100 million-dollar lottery 9 times over our life again than we would have been born. This basically zero chance of being born shows clearly that we are unique and we all deserve having an equal place on this stage! We were all meant to be in this limitless existence and if we choose, we can find the purpose that brought us into creation! Regardless of our skin color, country of origin, body size, religion, gender, or viewpoint, we already made it here and that by itself is a great achievement and a tremendous honor.

Please, this is a call for all of us, to simply remember to be grateful, be humble, be loving, be kind, and be true to who we are.

The astonishing story of creation is “you” it is just getting started. At any moment now, you can tap into this state of being, with your core realization of the humongous impossibility and the rarity of you experiencing this life, this alone is enough to ignite your I Amness.

I mean simply to just stop and think about it for a minute. Think about all the things that had to happen over the course of history for you to be breathing at this moment.

People dream of hitting the lottery but fail to realize we have already won big!!

Just as people search for miracles but walk past through them every day.  Each time we look at ourselves in the mirror a miracle in flesh stares back, we just don’t realize it. this is the reality.  We are all miracles put on this earth for a purpose. We have a reason for being here and it is to live our limitless possibilities and impact the world in a positive and elevated manner!

Scientists have done a great job on those studies calculating the probability of each one of us being born, taking into account all the odds of our parents’ meeting, our ancestors meeting, even wars and the dinosaurs role in our birth.

We all have ideas every day that are groundbreaking and can change our lives forever, but our mind put the emergency brake on them. If we are truly a miracle of 1 in 400 trillion, why does the mind do this to us?  Why do we doubt ourselves in this way?

It is simply because we are afraid of failure! Fear of failure is now known to be the biggest epidemic in the history of mankind. The fear of what other people will say, family members, society, religion and so forth. Fear can hold us back or fear can be the fire that pushes us forward. It’s important to do some internal inventory to see whether the fear of failure is the reason that stopping us from reaching our full potential which is enormously limitless, and in most cases,  it is!

A gentle reminder; No investments were made before coming into this life and look at the amazing profits we have been blessed with!

Ways to understand and overcome failure:

  1. Identify the Root Cause

Where does our fear of failure originate?

Sit down, take a few deep breaths, ask yourself when your fear of failure was formed, and observe what you see, feel, or hear. When you see what caused your fear of failure, you also see that your mind’s interpretation is far from accurate. It’s vital to examine our negative beliefs because they have a big influence on how we live our life.

  1. Simplify

Complexity is hard for most people, and when we do, we end up feeling overwhelmed. Everything may begin to feel hopeless and not worth doing because we just don’t know how, or where to start. When I begin any project, I always feel overwhelmed. I have no idea of where to go, what to do, or how to start. But when I simplify the tasks at hand, clarity emerges. Then I have no problem taking action because I had broken everything down into actionable pieces which will simplify any project whether it’s a big project or small.

  1. Failure is Temporary, it is an event, it is not you as a person.

Failure feels permanent, but it isn’t. When we imagine failing, we probably play an internal movie until we fail, and the credits roll. But real life doesn’t work like that. Failure molds us into our ideal self. The truth is I’ve failed more times than I can count, yet I still fear failure. The difference now versus my past self is that I know now that the fear of failure is just a thought, it’s not who I am!

  1. Shift in Perspective

Failure teaches success. Who taught you that failure is a bad thing? If It feels bad, so it must be bad. Is that really true?

Every belief and thought that makes us feel bad needs to be examined. What good does a fear of failure do us? It’s easier said than done to eliminate negative beliefs, but it all starts with being aware that a problem actually exists. The last thing we want to do is get mad at ourselves for not being perfect. We all have our unique fears. They often serve a hidden purpose that only reveals itself in hindsight. My friend, our fears help us grow in the way we need to grow. We realize our negative beliefs when they need to be realized. There is no rush. This is not a competition. You’re doing a wonderful job and I respect and honor your unique way of dealing with your issues. If we look at each failure as a blessing in disguise. We realize that it is not through our successes that we become wise, but mostly through our failures.

My friend, please remember because the amount of available DNA so vastly outnumbers the number of actual people, know that the odds against you being born are so great that this event has no chance of happening, yet here you are. When we remember the miracles of being, with our unique combination of atoms, right now standing at the edge of evolution. Something to be proud of and look forward to exploring. Maybe those are the odds of you being here. Who cares about the maths, what’s simply amazing is that we are here on this planet, it’s time to live up to it at this moment in history when the possibility to do, be or have anything, has never been greater.

I celebrate your uniqueness today. I bow to the sacredness of your being!

Eternal Blessings,

Ziad

Depression! Using agony as a step towards ecstasy.

Depression! Using agony as a step towards ecstasy.

Hello my friend, I am so grateful to be able to connect with you in this way. In today escalating energies of the Summer Solstice, we feel called to join in our understanding the people who are feeling despair, lack, and depression.

Depression means that somehow anger is in us in a negative state. Depression is a negative state of anger. The word depressed is a great indication, it says something is being pressed; that is the meaning of depressed. We are pressing something inside, and when anger is pressed too much it becomes sadness. Sadness is a negative way of being angry.

The reality is “source energy” simply responds to who we are. What our mind is, what our emotions are and how we are right now, will simply manifest in every action that we perform in the world, thus bringing more of what we are experiencing right this minute, that’s why we are always learning together and sharing ways to be present and happy rather than letting a running program that has been imposed by our surrounding to dictate who we are.

So, whatever we are, existence gives us more of that. If we have many flowers within our being, a million times more flowers will shower upon us, it is the law. If we have a deep depression, then existence helps that too, a million times more depression will come to us. Whatever we are will always come knocking at our door day in and day out. The genius decision we will ever make is to switch poles from depression to true fulfillment and true living, and that can happen without any conflict rather with ease. In fact, what comes after depression often miraculous because of the energy which has been locked inside of us waiting dormant to explode into being.

If we suffer from depression, this simply means we are very sensitive and we have repressed too many emotions inside, be it through lack of self-expression where we were told not to talk, not to laugh, to lower our voice, until we’ve lost completely our connection to our real voice. Depression is nothing but repression. If we are not allowed to express who we authentically are, depression happens!

In our community we share the knowledge with each other on how important to express ourselves fully through diverse ways like; Dancing Meditation, or through heavy breathing techniques, singing, screaming and so on. There are many ways of expression that we can use to unlock our true potential. In expressing who we are all that has been repressed in the unconscious, will be unburdened, we suddenly become well-balanced, healthier and alive, and the illusion of depression simply falls on its own. There are other natural methods to transcend depression which I will share with you at the end.

Personally, I have been in that state of awareness before in my early teens till my mid 20’s and I understand the agony of being oneself, the torture of just existing. Of course, little that I know it was the period where love, compassion, abundance, stability and other amazing things were being prepared, life was loaded with limitless possibilities waiting dormant. My only escape was daydreaming, not knowing that all the beauty, the love, the compassion that I was dreaming of will one day be a reality. Even today, I’m still fulfilling and manifesting realities that are linked to my early age depression. And the reason is that I used my depression at the time to create positive realities within and I lived in them despite the exterior harsh reality I was experiencing then.

My friend our ego is the source of all the problems, all the wars, all the conflicts, all the jealousies, fear, depression. Feeling oneself as a failure, continuously comparing with others makes everybody hurt tremendously because we can’t have everything. Ego is surrounded with depression, with anxiety, with anguish, with all kinds of ideas. We can clearly see it evident in people who have egoistic traits, they are never happy.

If we compare ourselves with the people who are “greater” in some way than us, we will become bitter. life will become poisoned by the comparison. We will remain always in a state of depression, as if existence has deceived us, betrayed us as if we have been let down. Or if we compare ourselves with people who are in some way lesser than us, then we tend to become very egoistic. This is one of the reasons why narcists and egoists are always surrounded by people smaller than themselves. They collect this kind of people so that they can look bigger than they are by comparison.

Whatever it is, sadness, anger, depression, unhappiness — be with it. And you will suddenly witness that if you remain with sadness, sadness changes into a beautiful thing, sadness becomes a depth. If we remain with anger, not thinking about, just being with it, anger is transformed; it becomes the pure energy of forgiveness. If we remain with lust, lust takes on a different quality; it becomes love.

Let’s remember this: Nothing lasts forever; so the depression will go. And when it leaves, after the depression, after the night, there will be a dawn and the sun will rise. If we can be alert at that moment. We will be happy that we were depressed. We will be grateful that we are depressed because only through our depression was this pristine state of happiness possible!

When depression is there, allow it to be. No need to get depressed about it. If we want to remove it sooner by medication, we will get depressed even more. If we fight it, we will create a secondary depression that is dangerous. The first depression is beautiful on its own, it is God-given. The second depression is our own. it is mental because people cannot wait, and then they will move into mental grooves.

If we are not depressed about our depression we can contact, we can commune, we can enter this heavenly gate. And once we know it, we have learned one of the ultimate laws of life: that life uses the opposite as a teacher, as a background.

The most amazing thing is to have hope while one is in a funk. Hope means simply a hopeful attitude about everything. An optimistic view. Looking at the golden side of things. Whatever happens, we remain hopeful. Depression comes only if we look at the wrong side of things. People with this optimistic attitude plant the greatest seeds in their minds while they’re depressed, they escape their reality by daydreaming and they achieve the impossible when the clouds are gone.

The Keyword is Trust: that everything is for the good. This trust that everything is for the good is multidimensional; this is religiousness which comes from the heart. And if we trust that everything is for the good, we will come to realize the divine. The divine can be realized through such trust. We will simply learn that even the storm is happening for the sake of the silence. Evil exists for the sake of good; death exists for the sake of life; suffering and agony are just situations in which endless possibilities can happen right after.

If we know that agony exists for the sake of ecstasy we cannot be agonized. If we know and feel and realize that suffering exists for the sake of happiness we cannot be made to suffer. It is impossible. Because we have gone beyond the clutches of the world, we have taken a jump out of the wheel of karma.

Techniques for Anxiety and Depression:

The basic idea is to start with some attention to breathing and body posture. Learning to sit in “Seiza” posture or “lotus” position will work too. Assume straight posture and rather than either thinking or imagining anything or directly trying to stop thinking, keep bringing your attention back to your breathing.

Now, for some people “breathing” is too diffuse and it’s impossible to really concentrate on that, so in some training, we focus through “one point” on the “Hara”, the small area just about two fingers below the navel and about one inch inside it. Most people who are depressed, have a closed Hara. Hara is one of the most important energy centers in our body system, life started there and life will end from there.

Please note that the reason this kind of “one point” mind training in meditation works is that it brings the awareness, energy, and attention down from our upper body where it’s getting knotted up as “thoughts” and very uncomfortable emotions (in the neck, jaw, head, and shoulders especially) and constricting the circulation of CHI “The life force energy”.

Each time the attention wavers, which it will, we gently bring it back to the Hara “one point”!

If this is difficult at first, there are two even easier methods (I actually use them all) and they can be used for anything not only anxiety and depression.

1. The first is to light a candle (a small candle in a dish or a glass, is best so you don’t get distracted by dripping wax) and focus all your attention on the flame of the candle as the “one point,” getting completely absorbed into it by bringing your attention back each time it begins to wander into thoughts or images of the past and future, any worries you might have.

2. The second is to use a small indoor fountain that has a stream of water running very quietly over pebbles. This can be very absorbing. It’s the same idea: you listen to the trickling water (while sitting firmly yet comfortably in Seiza or Lotus position) and the changing, subtle sound of the water is your “one point.” Each time your attention begins to waver, you gently return it to the sound of the trickling water.

Seiza position is by itself a powerful and stable posture, and even more so if you completely relax into it by dropping your energy downward; always downward to the Hara, to the lower body, the knees, the feet, the hands. Always drop Chi downward, because in anxiety attacks the body’s energy rushes upward and overloads the head and sometimes gets choked and knotted up very painfully in the chest and/or throat.

By using these simple yet powerful techniques along with “one pointed” concentration we can overcome any anxious thought/feeling/depression. Better still, we will soon directly realize that the nature of the mind is truly an infinite space where we can use to fulfill our deepest longing and our true purpose for being.

Much Love,

Ziad

Anger A Sign Of Intelligence!

Anger A Sign Of Intelligence!

My friend, temper is a sign intelligence, but it happens against ourselves. It has no use other than that. This useless intelligence is called Anger.

Anger can also be a substitute emotion. Meaning that sometimes people make themselves angry so that they don’t have to feel pain. They change their feelings of pain into anger because it feels better to be angry than it does to be in pain. This changing of pain into anger may be done consciously or unconsciously.

Becoming angry also creates a feeling of righteousness, power and being better than others which is not present when someone is in pain. When we are angry, we’re always angry with cause.

We can use anger to convert feelings of vulnerability and helplessness into feelings of control and power. Some people develop an unconscious habit of transforming almost all of their vulnerable feelings into anger, so they can avoid having to deal with them. The problem becomes that even when anger distracts us from the fact that we feel vulnerable, we still at some level feel vulnerable. Anger cannot make pain disappear, it only distracts us from it. And sooner or later vulnerability will surface in other creative methods by the subconscious mind.

So, anger generally does not resolve or address the problems that made us feel fearful or vulnerable in the first place, and it can create new problems, including social and health issues. It is essential though to understand and recognize where anger is coming from and the fact that we can use it towards a certain outcome.

When anger comes, it is the same anger that we have been through before, so nothing new. But this time we can do one thing new, which we have never done before; every time we get involved with anger is the time to just watch as if it does not belong to us, as if it is somebody else’s anger. And we are in for a great surprise if we do: it will simply disappear within seconds. It will disappear without any struggle, it leaves behind it a tremendously beautiful and silent and loving state.

In case we are unable like most people to control our anger and implement these types of techniques when anger happens, we can do a tryout. We simply try to recall an angry situation or an idea, or a person that triggered anger within us before, we try to recall that and when anger is present, we try to watch it without stopping, until anger disappears completely and replaced with a state of pure energy. By doing this we have a better chance of handling anger in certain situations which will be a very helpful thing in our lives.

The same energy that could have become a fight with the anger that is left within us, is simply transformed into pure energy of delight, just energy, without any name, without any objective. We allow energy to be pure. Either it is anger, or hate, or love, or greed, or desire, all these are backed up with pure energy, a delight. And true intelligence is to allow it to be in its purity.

So, my friend, every time anything arises in you, is a great opportunity to experience pure energy. Just watch, and the anger will go. It may raise a little dust every now and then, but that dust also settles on its own; we don’t have to settle it. we simply wait. We don’t move from waiting and watching, and soon we will find ourselves surrounded by a pure energy that has not been used in fighting, in repressing, or in being angry. Once we know the secret of using the wide spectrum of who we are, we will enjoy every emotion; and every emotion arising in us becomes a great opportunity. Just by watching, we bring a shower of delight on our being. Slowly, slowly all these emotions will disappear; they will not come anymore, usually they don’t come uninvited. Watchfulness, or alertness, or awareness, or consciousness, are all different names of the same phenomenon which is “witnessing”. That is the keyword!

Eternal Blessings,

Ziad
